Help Me- Joni Mitchell

I recently digging more on singer/songwriter artists like Joni Mitchell. Joni is a Canadian musician, singer songwriter, and painter. I was looking for something "new" to fill my music atmosphere in my head. A music that tastes fresh and free of distortion.

I bought four LPs of Joni from an auction in eBay including Court and Sparks, Dog Eat Dog, Wild Things Run Fast, and her self titled album Joni Mitchell.

I was first introduced with a case of you, a song from the album "blue", an album that could be one of the best album ever created. The song is personal and beautiful. Let me quote a few words:

Oh you are in my blood like holy wine
Oh and you taste so bitter but you taste so sweet
Oh I could drink a case of you
I could drink a case of you darling
And I would still be on my feet

If you want something "need no effort to listen" you better listen to Joni, because she will not give you burden, you are being told a story, and all you have to do is listen.

She told Cameron Crowe in an interview that, Bob Dylan fell asleep in a listening session together with Louie Kemp and David Geffen listening to Joni's album Court and Spark. The 1974's Court and Spark was her best-selling LP, featuring her radio hits "Help Me" and "Free Man in Paris."

"Help" me is more like a jazzy tunes to me as i first listen to them. Joni was more recognized as a folk rock singer/songwriter over her five albums before court and spark. It was what she called "a different kind of music" But yet the jazz rhythm influence made a good impression on public and becoming her most successful album.
